Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade C Security Certificate
• Valid DH4 Dog Handler Certificate
• Solid understanding of dog behavior and control techniques
• Prior experience in dog handling (advantageous but not mandatory)
• Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
• Good physical fitness and stamina to manage working dogs
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical handling practices

Duties and Responsibilities

• Training & Obedience: Teach dogs commands, behavior patterns, and specialized skills (e.g., detection, tracking, guarding).
• Daily Care: Feed, groom, exercise, and monitor the dog’s health.
• Deployment: Work with dogs in operational settings such as patrols, search and rescue, narcotics detection, or crowd control.
• Behavior Monitoring: Assess temperament and adjust training methods accordingly.
• Safety & Control: Ensure dogs are handled responsibly to protect both the public and the animal.
• Record Keeping: Maintain logs of training progress, health checks, and operational performance.
• Bond Building: Develop trust and loyalty between handler and dog to maximize effectiveness

Qualifications and Experience

➢ Matric / Grade 12.
➢ Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other business-related qualification.
➢ Minimum 1-3 years
➢ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and outlook
➢ Proficiency with Sage Accounting or other accounting software.
➢ Proven experience and proficiency in SAGE VIP Payroll

Duties and Responsibilities

➢ Process VAT, PAYE and submit to SARS timeously.
➢ Coordinate staff medical aid, provident funds, levies and submit schedules to relevant bodies
➢ Regularly checking CSD and ensuring compliance.
➢ Prepare and verify monthly payroll inputs (new joiners, terminations, leave, overtime, deductions, etc.).
➢ Ensure accurate and timely completion of EMP201 monthly submissions (including PAYE, UIF, and SDL) and EMP501 reconciliations in compliance with SARS regulations.
➢ Department of Labour online services
➢ Financial statements (draftwork)
➢ Sage payroll, Accounting and invoicing
➢ CIPC services
➢ Maintaining the asset register and handling petty cash
